Fear is the threat of harm, real or imagined which is originated in human brain. Fear of failure (also called “atychiphobia”)is when we allow that fear to stop us doing the thing that can moves forward to achieve our goals.
Since childhood, we undergo at least one fear. Some are things you can touch like snakes, insects, dogs and many more. Some are situations you want to avoid like public speaking what tests taking. Some came from childhood stories like ghost and monsters. And some fears are from thing that unfortunately find us like terrorism natural disaster and cancer.
However, we can’t allow our phobias to overcome our self. If we do so, we will not be only disrespect the law of nature of human behavior but also our mental health will be at a great risk.
Teenagers are constantly under an immense amount of tension as their bodies are changing physically and mentally and peer pressure is amongst them. Parents support plays a major role in the self development of teenagers as they want their parents love, support, encouragement and attention. In the minds of teen, rejection is life changing. Rejection is an uncomfortable part of life that all teen need to learn to manage with and work through as they prepare for adulthood.
In today’s youth tension depression anxiety and panic extremely common. These symptoms are mostly observed in teenagers, and this is because of the fear of failure they have. We have been told that success and failure are part of parcel of life, and that we should not be afraid of failure because failure may cause stronger in life. There is an old motto that runs- if at first, you don’t succeed try, try and try again.
