My Biggest Concern about the Future

India being a developing country, it has several things to be concerned about. Future is something that can only be predicted but not be changed. We being the youths of our country has come across many changes, but there are still some serious issues that are too concern and altered.

Some major agendas are environment concerns, the economic growth of the nation and so on. But my biggest concern for the future is mainly women peace and security. In today’s time women are forced to think twice before stepping out of their

homes, specially at night. It is because of the increased rate of crime rate against them. Almost everyday we came to know about the horrific crimes being done against the women.

Women have suffered a lot through the years at the hands of men. In earlier centuries, they were treated as almost non-existent. As if all the rights belonged to men even something as basic as voting. They had always been considered weaker than men, and have never been given priorities. But all these practices have now changed over time.

One rape was reported every 15 minutes in India in 2018. In 2018, the national average rape rate (per 1,00,000 population) was 5.2, same as the previous year. Unfortunately, this is the sad reality of our country where women are given the statures of goddesses.

Almost every day, we come to know about the horrific crimes being committed against women. And not just rapes or violence but acid attacks are becoming common. Although acid attacks occur all over the world, this type of violence is most common in South Asia.

These attacks can lead to permanent blindness and severe injuries leading to the destruction of the victim’s life. But inspire of this, India has a lot of strong acid attack survivors batting to live their lives independently.

Although the list of crimes and victims is very long but still there is time, necessary actions could be taken to avoid or lessen these things And women safety should be taken seriously as they are entering every field of life, they should feel safe enough to work with anyone at anytime of the day
